First Time For Everything

I live in one of the most beautiful states and a few months ago I realized that I had always waited for someone else to take me to the mountains. So before me and the girls went to Virginia for a month I, for the first time, drove up I-70 and took my girls to Echo Lake. One of my closest friends and her daughters came along. It was a crazy day filled with hail storms and food stealing birds but it's a great memory and an empowering moment for me. I wasn't as scared as I thought I would be driving those mountain roads and hopefully it will help me feel braver in the future!
